Upstash Box gives AI agents their own isolated cloud computer with a built-in agent, filesystem, shell, git and runtime. The following table shows what CostGraph runs on this provider.

Connect

Connect Upstash Box on Integrations, and CostGraph starts sandboxes in your Upstash Box account. You don’t run anything yourself.
  1. In CostGraph, go to Integrations > Sandbox > Upstash Box.
  2. Enter these fields:
    • Box API key (UPSTASH_BOX_API_KEY, required): An Upstash Box API key from the Upstash console.
  3. Click Connect.
For CI runners, CostGraph picks the smallest box size that fits: small, medium or large.

Your own dispatcher

To keep the key out of CostGraph or reach a private network, run your own dispatcher instead. Set provider to upstash and the preceding fields as environment variables, as described in Run your own dispatcher.

Key and permissions

UPSTASH_BOX_API_KEY is an Upstash Box API key (box_…) created in the Upstash Console (console.upstash.com); it is also the SSH password for a box. The provider doesn’t document key scopes or roles, so a key has full access to the account. Sources: upstash.com: quickstart, upstash.com: pricing, upstash.com: keep alive.
