# Run Cloud sandboxes

> Run CostGraph workflows and CI jobs in Run Cloud sandboxes: the key to create, its permissions, and its limits

run.cloud offers Firecracker microVM Linux sandboxes alongside its iOS simulator, Android emulator and Xcode build API; the Linux sandboxes are deprecated and no longer available to new organizations.

The following table shows what CostGraph runs on this provider.

| Workflows | CI runners | Connect with |
| - | - | - |
| Yes | No | Integrations or your own dispatcher |

Run Cloud no longer offers Linux sandboxes to new organizations.

CI runners: no. AutoPilot compares runners by price, and this provider publishes no sandbox price.

## Connect

Connect Run Cloud on Integrations, and CostGraph starts sandboxes in your Run Cloud account. You don't run anything yourself.

1. In CostGraph, go to **Integrations > Sandbox > Run Cloud**.

2. Enter these fields:

   * **API key** (`RUN_CLOUD_API_KEY`, required): A run.cloud API key from the run.cloud dashboard.

3. Click **Connect**.

### Your own dispatcher

To keep the key out of CostGraph or reach a private network, run your own dispatcher instead.
Set `provider` to `run-cloud` and the preceding fields as environment variables, as described in [Run your own dispatcher](https://docs.costgraph.ai/costgraph/workflows/managed-sandboxes.md#run-your-own-dispatcher).

## Key and permissions

RUN\_CLOUD\_API\_KEY (RUN\_CLOUD\_API\_TOKEN is an accepted alias) is a run.cloud API key (rc\_live\_...) created in the run.cloud dashboard; no dashboard path or CLI command is documented.

The provider doesn't document key scopes or roles, so a key has full access to the account.

## Limits

* DEPRECATED: 'Linux microVM sandboxes are deprecated. This capability is being retired and is no longer available to new organizations.' No retirement date given. ([source](https://docs.run.cloud/sandboxes.md))
* Per sandbox max 32 vCPUs and 112 GiB RAM; default reservation 0.125 vCPU / 128 MiB. ([source](https://docs.run.cloud/sandboxes.md))
* Org-wide defaults: 100 sandboxes (paused/stopped count), 100 reserved vCPUs, 400 GiB reserved memory; 429 when reached; raise via [support@run.cloud](mailto:support@run.cloud). ([source](https://docs.run.cloud/limits.md))
* Max lifetime and idle timeout not documented; hitting the spend ceiling stops active sandboxes. ([source](https://docs.run.cloud/limits.md))
