# Audit log

> See who signed in, who changed what, and who exported data in your organization over the last year

The audit log records sign-ins, role and API key changes, support access, and
every change and export in your organization. Entries are kept for one year.

Organization owners and admins can open it under **Settings > Audit log**.

## What is recorded

| Action | Recorded when |
| - | - |
| **Signed in** | Someone signs in to CostGraph |
| **Changed a member role** | A member's role changes |
| **Created an API key**, **Rotated an API key**, **Revoked an API key** | An API key is created, rotated, or revoked |
| **Changes and exports** | Anyone, or any API key or app, creates, updates, or deletes something, or downloads a CSV or Excel export |
| Support access | CostGraph support views your organization at your request |

Each entry shows the time, the actor, what they did, the tenant it applied to
(or **Organization**), and whether it **Succeeded** or **Failed**. The actor
shows how they authenticated: a session, an API key, an OAuth app, or a
CostGraph service. Entries made by CostGraph support are marked **CostGraph
support**.

Requests that fail because of an error on CostGraph's side aren't recorded,
because nothing changed.

## Filter

Use **Filter by member**, **Filter by action**, and the date picker to narrow
the list.

## Export

Click **Export CSV** to download the entries that match your filters. An export
holds up to 50,000 entries; narrow the date range for more.

Owners and admins can also read the audit log from the
[CostGraph API](/api-reference/costgraph/introduction) with
`GET /api/v1/organizations/{org_id}/audit-logs`. Add `format=csv` for a file.
